{"id":22,"date":"2008-04-07T13:16:36","date_gmt":"2008-04-07T13:16:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.isbd.net\/wordpress\/?p=22"},"modified":"2008-04-07T14:09:49","modified_gmt":"2008-04-07T14:09:49","slug":"saturday-5th-april-back-to-hanoimonday-7th-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zelmastrip.com\/wordpress\/?p=22","title":{"rendered":"Saturday 5th April back to Hanoi&#8230;..Monday 7th April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I woke up at Cuc Phoung National Park to the sound of gibbon calls.\u00a0 I had such an amazing time there that I didn&#8217;t really want to leave.\u00a0 I arranged to get a xe om to Highway one where I picked up a slightly less busy bus than on the way.\u00a0 The locals were still equally amused by me though.<\/p>\n<p>When I got back to Hanoi I headed to an International Music Festival with Olly and his housemates.\u00a0 It was really good and apparently relatively unusual to have such a thing in Hanoi.\u00a0 This resulted in it being full of ex-pats.\u00a0 We then went onto a party boat until the early hours which was equally entertaining.\u00a0 For some reason I decided that it was a good idea to dance (hmmm, maybe something to do with beer) despite having hideously aching limbs from my treks in the National Park.<\/p>\n<p>Following on from a long day and a late night Sunday was not particularly productive.\u00a0 Today I was planning to get my visa for Laos but instead went for a leisurely lunch at Koto which is a restaurant set up to assist local young people out of poverty and into hospitality.\u00a0 I then went to the temple of literature with one of Olly&#8217;s housemate&#8217;s friends who somewhat oddly lives about a mile from me in London.\u00a0 The coincidences keep happening like meeting the girl I met in Nha Trang on the boat as she was staying in the same place as the guy I went for lunch with today.\u00a0 I think that Vietnam, and Hanoi in particular,\u00a0is the place for the three Cs&#8230;&#8230;.
